Be Super this Summer with Spotlight Workshop Year 3!

Power up your confidence by unleashing your potential in TV Hosting, Emceeing, Radio DJing, Print and Ramp Modelling! Be a Stellar Personality when you SPEAK, SMILE, STAND, and STRUT!

You know what Superman, Batman, Spiderman, Captain America, and all the superheroes have in common? They were all once wimpy kids and bullied teens. But one day, they discovered their POWERS and from ordinary they have become EXTRAordinary. They have become SUPER!

Produced by SouthSpot Entertainment Network, the Spotlight Personality Empowerment Workshop is back on its 3rd year with the tagline “Be Super this Summer!”

Using the theme of superpowers, this year’s summer workshop is designed to be not just a personality development program but a leadership training as well. “We don’t just train models. We don’t just make stars. WE BUILD LEADERS!” the program director, Jill Palarca, said.

A former MTV director and currently a Communication Arts college professor, teacher Jill designed the SuperPower curriculum based on the framework of public speaking, speech training, and theatre arts. The modelling, fashion and beauty awareness aspects of the program are supplementary lessons.

“Language is a powerful tool. Though we know that kids and teens become self-conscious about their looks and physique, we don’t want to send the message that this should be the only basis for their confidence. Good communication skills are more important. This will boost their confidence now and this will even pave the way for a brighter future,” she added.

The 6-week workshop which includes TV Hosting, Emceeing, Radio DJing, Basic Acting, Print/Ramp Modelling, and Fashion & Makeup is open to girls and boys aged 8 to 21. The programs are divided into three categories:

  • Introductory (8—11 years old)
  • Comprehensive (12—16 years old),
  • Advanced (17—21 years old)

Classes will start on April 8 for the Comprehensive Program and April 9 for the Beginners Program.

Registration is now going on at the SouthSpot Headquarters, 59-B Aala Bldg., F. IƱigo St. (formerly Anda), Davao City. For inquiries and reservations call 0922-8384981
